Framing a canvas

Wildlifer

Old Mossy Horns
Fiancé wants this turkey print that was painted by a friend of the family framed and hung in our guest room. Custom frames are expensive so I gave it a go myself. Started off with some rough cut white oak. She wanted a half inch reveal all the way around so after planning and squaring it up I got my 4 pieces cut to length. Took them over to the router and got a rabbet cut for the canvas to sit flush and set the reveal. Back to the table saw with the miter gauge to cut the corners. Glued it all together, stained, finished with paste wax, and mounted the canvas. I think it came out pretty good.
