Food for thought - Deer rubs and life

As hunters, we love to see fresh Big Buck (beast) signs! The allure of him making his mark lets others know his territory. Although the hunt is a challenge, and if and when we harvest the buck it’s exhilarating, still yet it’s humbling to know his marks will fade away into eternity never to be seen again.

Our lives are much the same, we make our marks whether good or bad on this earth and the people we come in contact with BUT ultimately they fade away once we die. Sure, some faded marks like an old signpost rub may remain BUT just like In the deer woods, another will take over our territory. May we BE SURE that our focus is on spending eternity in GODS DOMAIN by knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior!

Psalm 49
6 Even those who trust in their wealth
And boast in the abundance of their riches?
7 No man can by any means redeem his brother
Or give to God a ransom for him—
8 For the redemption of his soul is costly,
And he should cease trying forever—
They have called their lands after their own names.
12 But man in his pomp will not endure;
He is like the beasts that perish.0E342916-2C78-4FAB-8DFD-600110EF5A07.jpeg

Good "food for thought", I've always loved to read the teachings of Solomon because like many of us he tried it all. In the end he realized that nothing in this world means anything without God. The third chapter of Ecclesiastes sums up life on this earth. A time and a season for everything and in the fourteenth verse it all comes back to the realization that the only thing that is forever is what God does and has done.
