Our oldest son was here in Tobaccoville visiting for the holiday and wanted to hunt. We were working on Black Friday so I showed him where the stand was on a new place I got permission to hunt. He managed to score his best ever. 19" wide 8 pointer that I've been watching on camera for 3 months. I was overjoyed when he sent me a pic that morning!

Buck was probably jumped by the landowner doing a man drive but he was also following a doe.
He stopped behind a tree at first and I didn’t have a shot. The doe took off running and he followed suit. I shot 3 times and thought I had missed. Heart shot and low liver shot killed him.

I got in my box stand with the rifle, opened the window and he was standing there eating . I thought I made it in once without getting caught so I got out walked quickly 150 yards back to the house grabbed the pistol went back to the stand and shot him. Not the biggest by any means but I’m happy as can be getting my first with a handgun.
