EZ Go Won't Go

I have a 2015 RXV Gas model that will crank but will not accelerate. After doing some internet searching, I replaced the accelerator switch but still no go. It was running fine but suddenly backfired and quit so I assumed the issue was electrical. I checked the carb using ether to "force feed" the system and would not accelerate. So, it appears to be electrical. I hoping y'all can help me solve this as a trip to the shop will be $$$. Thanks.

is the carb linkage actually moving when you press the gas pedal?

Yes.

When you say accelerator switch did you mean speed controller?

Check your power cables are not loose. Then test the solenoid. There’s your likely culprit.

Not positive on yours but sounds like it may have broke something in the governor when it backfired. If it cranks and idles fine but will not accelerate, that would be the first place I would look.

I'm stumped at this point. Broke down and took it to someone more knowledgeable than me. I still think it's electrical but I can't trace this issue and I ain't a parts replacer as that never works.
