I have an area that's a power line that's 550'x 60' wide I'm thinking of planting for a dove field. Would this be a good place to try it? I have seen doves land on the power lines occasionally and its the larger power line with I believe 4 lines on it. Think it would be worth the effort?

Yep. That’s a decent little strip. It will be worth the effort to plant it, as long as the deer don’t eat it too bad early. Sunflowers or millet. Don’t overthink it. Just get it killed good and then plant in time to mature a few weeks ahead of the opener.

How far away are you from water?
I would mix some corn rows in on the edges. It will slow the deer down and provide cover for the hunt, also attracts doves.

would use a good herbicide to control grass and weeds. Doves like some clean ground to sit down on
