Disappointed hunter

Six Pointer
Found this 15 point skull a few days ago in an area I hunt in Granville County. No sure what caused his demise but if a hunter shot him and never recovered him I am sure he/she was really disappointed.

Four Pointer
Take solace in the fact that there's some very good genetics in that area.
Sad, but a very cool find indeed.

Ten Pointer
Several years back I was looking at some property near Bakersville N C and walked up on a very nice 11 pointer bedded down. When he saw me he just got up and walked away. The people that owned the property didn't allow hunting. Two weeks later it was black powder season and I rode back up there to look at another piece of property that joined the other one. Driving down a gravel road alongside the two pieces of property I drove up on the same buck in a sharp bend in the road. He had been gut shot and was laying right beside the road. I cut his head off and brought it home.

Old Mossy Horns
Stud. As sharp as those burrs appear to be, I'd say he died either in velvet, or just barely out of it.
