Close call this morning. Riding my bike near my house. This road has very narrow shoulder and drops off steep off the road. A car came flying by within just inches of me. The draft and surprise of a car being that close forced me off the road. I went off the shoulder and went straight over the handle bars 😡

Other than a bruised ego and some scrapes on my hand I’m physically ok. Bike appears fine other than front tire is busted and shifter probably needs some adjustments. Thanks to lady who stopped to check on me. Screw the person that was too impatient to pass me with some room. There was no oncoming traffic and it was a straight shot. You could see several hundred yards ahead.

It’s a risk you take riding on the roads, I guess. I’ll probably stick to the greenways for the next little while to avoid traffic. Need to research some routes that don’t have so much traffic.
Glad it turned out okay and you weren't injured 😎 Sucks how crazy it is now days.., people texting-driving, and then there are those who get a thrill from ruining your day. Sometimes I carry riding, sometimes I don't, and the days I don't it's usually because I don't trust myself to start slinging lead.

Come ride around Methlehem and there's a lot less traffic (aka Buffalo Cove)

Got in a little over 3 hours of Zone 2 recovery today, which started with around a 3 mile solo swim - Gramps is still in slow motion from Saturday :ROFLMAO:

Well my bike may be in worse shape than I thought after the wreck. I found a crack in the front fork. Replacing the front forks is several hundred, if I can find the right ones. Bike is 11 yrs old. I bought it off a colleague and only paid $250 for it. So I’m debating if it’s worth it or if i should just pony up for a new (to me) bike.

If you wanna try out a Cervelo you're welcome to try the P2K. It's my spare and my old training partner from the 1900's (😁) finished IM Fla with it in the early, mid 2000's

It'll keep you going until you decide what you plan to do. Just throwing that out there.
25 weeks 😎

2500m swim followed by a 4 mile run today.

@T-Rock thanks for the offer. I have an old Cannondale road bike that I plan on using until I sort out the issue with my other one.

5k run after work this morning.

Slept for a few hours and then joined a couple colleagues for a quick 45 or so min mountain bike ride.

My legs are smoked. That’s what I get for trying to keep up with a 23 yr old former collegiate triathlete!!

I have started something new which totally blows the arms & shoulders. After swimming 2.4 miles I spent around :30 minutes non-stop on the speed bag. It's killer after swimming 😎
Since it was rainy I kept off the roads biking and hit the indoor trainer.... Good day and finally starting to feel recovered after the last Half 😎

That’s pretty dang impressive right there!!

Monday I did a quick brick. 15 mile bike ride and 5k run.

This morning I did a 2500m swim and then a 5 mile run.

I’m still having a rough time adjusting my sleep/training schedule since going to night shift.

Hopefully you're able to get them all knocked out consecutively?
That's the only way I can tolerate night shift anymore. After 30 years of it I've become a little crispy around the edges 🫤
