Anyone shooting the CZ 457 Pro Varmint.
Looking at one now.
That or the Pro Varmint Precision Trainer MTR.
The MTR is about $500 more is it worth it?

My only thought for a rifle like that why would they have a small rail top and not just flat top.
How they look with bases or rings.

I'll let you know soon asap, I'm close to having one. There are a few low profile picatinny bases made that locks in with set screws made for these rifles that opens up more options for scope mounting. The "Area 419" base is probably the best of the bunch and it has a built in level on the rear of the base.

I have the varmit model.Don't know if the MTR is worth $500 more or not never shot one but would love to.
My varmit model shoots about as good as I can shoot.
I took it to the range with my 10/22 /kid barrel and action on the 16th.It was pretty windy when I got there was going to shoot 10 shot groups with different bullet brands but since it was windy, this was shooting at 100 yds.
With both rifles I managed to get several 3 shot groups under an inch that day.
Waiting till the weather is more calm before giving it another try
This is my 457 varmit and it has base and rings.
Below is my 10/22 with Kid barrel
