Curly dock / broadleaf dock

I’ve got some in an old horse pasture that I have converted to early successional habitat. What’s the best chemical control? I’m planning to spray before everything else greens up and minimize drift killing my preferred species

Is it in patches, or spread over the entire pasture? For most broadleafs I like triclopyr 3A. Spot treat with a 2% solution will take out most everything I have hit with it.

It’s I small patches and also scattered. I sprayed some last year with generic triclopyr 4. It didn’t seam to work that well just burned the leaves. With the dock species being prolific seed producers it’s important to gain control
