I've always liked the .25's but last time I checked no one has made a long and skinny bullet for it with a high BC. Wby brought out the 6.5-300 which I would call a wildcat. A real barrel burner but for a hunting round that is not a problem.

The 6.5 WWH is a pretty cool cartridge. If I didn’t have a 6.5 STW close at hand, I’d look at it harder.

Twelve Pointer
I built a few 6.5-06's for not only elk and sheep hunters, but Silhouette Shooters that had to knock down 75lb steel rams at 500 meters.
They are nearly bout bore capacity too.
Not sure if you've thought bout that cartridge.
