Couple Mangroves

down In FT Meyers for my Son' wedding I really didn't have the time but did bring a rod and some lures . The 1st couple times I had a few follows. Then I figured I would get some shrimp and see what happened. When I figured out that they would take a piece of one I started getting one on every cast around the dock. I would have like to filet a bunch but due to other commitments it would have been too long to transport so I released them. A few were pretty darn chunky and they eat good!

I wish they were common off the Carolina beaches

Scaled, gutted, rubbed down with olive oil, seasoned and placed on a grill. Some of the most delicious and moist fish I have ever ate. Delray Beach, Fla. Caught off my buddy's dock.

Mangroves are tasty for sure! Only caught a few legal size inshore when kayak fishing BUT man they are good
