You usually get to keep what you buy.
Sales receipt, and all.
Actually their best skill players outside of Judkins who got from Mississippi were all recruited. Ohio st has best receivers coaches in nation and the top recruits all know it it's why they consistently put up top tier receivers in draft.

They returned nine starters. How many other FBS team returned more?
No doubt huge factor getting them back maybe I'm little bias on Downs as he is just been awesome since day one and I've rarely seen a high profile D coach/program create such a cool scheme for 1 guy. Those other guys are great to they'll be lots draft picks off this team. Just a wealth of talent all over

I thought both semi’s were good games, and the teams I figured would win did.

I don’t care about either team in any way, but I hope ND beats OSU. Marcus Freeman is a pretty classy dude and Ryan Day is a whiney Beyatch. Hopefully ND will have Lou Holtz lead them on the field so Day will hide from him.

Agree with half of that, Freeman is a classy dude.... That just happened to play for Ohio State. 😃

As for Holtz, probably need to rewind time about 20 years for him to be able to physically capable to lead anyone, anywhere. 😆

Wanna put some money on it 😏 I'll give ya 10 points.
Yep, I'll take that bet 👍🏼

Ive just not been impressed with OSU...
Lets not forget that Texas was driving to tie the game. Not saying they would, because their red zone play calling was bad, but in that moment #33 saved their hides.
One thing we have learned is that no one team this year is overly dominant and anything can happen on any given day.

I also called Ewers leaving Texas...you owe me on that one too 🤣😉😎

Defense wins close games, defense wins playoffs, defense wins championships. Ohio state has the best defense in the country, but they get no credit against Texas. Texas offense made a bad play, the wrong call, Ewers can't feel pressure.....etc. all excuses

Maybe Ohio state's defense won that game and deserves all the credit.

I've watched them all year, I had zero doubt in my mind that they would stop Texas at the goal line.

Do you guys know that Marcus Freeman is from Ohio, played 4 years at Ohio State, played a few years in NFL, and came back to Ohio State to get his masters degree. how does that sit with you mack?

Are you too waiting for all the excuses these SEC/ACC boys are going to spew after Ohio State whups up on Notre Dame. One man defense in Caleb Downs, 20 mil nil, etc. Had Ohio State not shot itself in the foot committing unnecessary penalties the game would have been a rout. Prob 42-14 or so. Ohio State controlled the game from start to finish

I used to give credit to players sitting out, bad calls from the reffs, injuries, and other things that might have made a difference in game play. The SEC fan base on here only sees things one way. They are the best and if they lose its not their fault. If the SEC wins a close game by 1 point it was a total beat down of the cup cake conference. If the SEC loses by multiple scores, its the refs fault. If Bama didn't make the playoffs its because of the tough schedule. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Indiana lost to Notre Dame in South Bend by 10 points. Georgia lost to Notre Dame by 13.

Indiana lost to Ohio State by 23 in Columbus. Tennessee lost to Ohio State by 25 in Columbus.

SEC fans say the B1G is cupcake. Put a sock in it.

I am only an Auburn fan by association but the sec has won 15 of the last 23…….while the big ten wins an average of 1 title per decade…..not even as many as the acc. So when it’s hard to believe that a sec team is not in the mix it is because it rarely happens

I’ll give OSU credit they are legit, but that argument stops there. Indiana played one ranked team in the regular season and got dog walked.
As far as conferences go, the SEC has six teams (eight if you want to count Texas and OU) that have won championships since the BCS started, while the Big 10 has two. Stats don’t lie.

Why 23 years? You can start and stop the years to fit just about whatever you want it to look like. It cycles like anything else. Go back to 1970 and see how your stat line changes. Or just use the last 2 years.

Yale and Princeton have the most national championships, their not in the SEC.

You are correct. I was just pointing out the most important stat of all and the fact that the sec has been utterly dominant for a long time now. During that time there was an actual national champion crowned from head to head matchups. NIL may have helped finally break that dominance but even this year considering the sec was “down” it was still the strongest conference top to bottom

I think also part of the problem and its gonna contine to hurt the sec is yes they are the best conference but at the end of the season a player is hurt here. another hurt here and so on. It takes a toll on a team(s) playing tougher schedules and at the end of they year for lack of a better term they are beat down.

now the Big 10 with only a couple of good teams gets through the season w/o as many injuries etc and the top teams are not worn down and are "fresher" when it comes playoff time as their schedule is not as intense.

They need to relook at taking the likes of Clemson etc.

I’m not following you here????

Edit: I see what your saying now since there is a committee. Difference is there are two teams that have to actually play each other to determine who the NC is, rather than the old days where a national champion might be crowned because they were #1 and beat a #8 team in the Rose or Sugar bowl.

The thing with statistics, you can skew them any way you like.

Looks to me that Independents have the toughest conference based on bowl win percentage. 100% Second place goes to the American 75%, MAC gets 3rd at 71%, and the B1G comes in 4th with 63%. Where is the SEC? Behind the Sun Belt (57%) coming in barely above 500 at 53%
