College/acc football 2024-25

Terrible feeling just like I predicted last year it's gonna be another big 10 year in the end but I hold out hope for Ga to change my mind they just need go in healthy this year.

With saban being gone I have a feeling you might be right. Would be nice if Clemson was back in the title conversation though.

Be awesome to see NCSU in a real conversation as a contender, UNC will simply never be in that position. You don’t have championship potential when you don’t have a football culture.

Contenders for conference for sure but not for the big title. they are up for solid year and I hope do well but they still wayy off from the tops in country.

9-3 is likely 10-2 would be awfully hatd. they got nice sched get bama and GA but miss Ol miss, Texas, missouri. That NC state came gonna be sonething I really see that as bad matcup for them and might up that loss total.

I have hard time seeing him going more than year or 2. I think couple mediocre records close 500 which is possible might do it.
 
I mean what do you replace him with beyond a coach that catches fire and is great and then instantly gets plucked? UNC can’t retain an elite coach.

If what he has done in the last five years does not get him fired then he will never ever be gone unless it’s on his own terms. I would rather go 0-12 every single year with a coach making a fraction of what he is making and not have any expectations. In college football if you are not competing for your conference championship and you are not competing to be in the top 10 or 12 teams in the country then you are just a flat out loser.

so there are only 10-12 viable football teams in the country? the rest are losers?
Your bar is way too high for this state. It wouldnt matter if it was Saban of 20 yrs ago at unc.

so who has the dope on who is left in the ACC for next year?

We must have the same news links. I get all of these alerts about NCT8 getting recruits and commitments.

I believe such talk is not worthy until at least mid September/early October.

I agree…..but I think it’s possible that state could contend with Clemson and fsu for the conference title if they keep everyone healthy. We shall see….

Sure, it may make him look bad. He might even be suspended a couple of games.
No way the NCAA makes them evacuate the title. All they want is money.

You might be right and it might all be wishful thinking, but they flat out dropped the hammer on USC for a much lesser offense
