I am guessing the leaves are turning brown and falling off because it is dying. Disclaimer, that opinion is no way professional.

You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.

That's the message I get with I click on your links. But just based on what you posted, planting in the summer is not a good idea.

It needs sunlight..... Should not keep it in the basement where you post

just a lighthearted attempt at humor based on what some accuse you of

I see the pictures just fine

The material dries fast because the trees are too big for those pots - sucks them dry

Got to keep them eating

Lessons learned

A - buy trees during planting season
B - don't buy from Walmart
C - put em in the ground

Bought some on clearance at Wally World several years ago. The did exactly as you describe.

Put them in the ground and hope for the best. 6 out of 7 planted survived. They produced last fall for the first time with 1-2 pods per tree. I picked the nuts up and stored them to try to seed with this spring but life got in the way and they rotted lying on the bar once i took them out of the fridge.

FYI. During the summer heat and dry period, the leaves on mine still wilt but the trees keep plugging on.
