Camping in Chatham county.

We are trying to find a place to pull the camper to for October and November in Chatham county. We are planning to hunt the local game lands. The issue is. With all the contractors working in the area on new factories and such. Everything is full for the foreseeable future. Does anyone have any ideas or leads on a place to pull a 24’ camper too.

I’ve been calling around and they all say they are booked up for the foreseeable future due to contractors in town. Been told it’s been this way for 2 years

There’s a newer rv/campground on moncure pittsboro road. Not sure if it’s full or not. It’s near the dam/mini mart. It’s called Chatham rv park.

He’s already booked too. Jordan lake shows no availability when the lunch in dates. Looks like it’s closed for season during those times. I’m really surprised about it

Yea I have tried cottons, dickens, goodwins, Chatham and having issues with season dates at Jordan. Jordan is nearly an hour away from where we are looking.

We have friends in Chatham county. They are looking for us. Going to look on marketplace and see if anyone has a hook up at their house or something. Glad we started looking now

Is Asheboro to far? Zooland camground or JellyStone offers long term camping....

I’m not sure. I’d have to look at the map. I know Jordan state park is nearly an hour from where we will be hunting.

Try Simple Times or Cane Creek Campground in Snow Camp? bout a 45 minute drive to Jordan. Or Hidden Lake in Swepsonville, might be a bit too far.

It will be Chatham county game lands and oct 18-21 nov 1-4,13-16 and 22-26 unless we tag out. Then I’ll buck hunt here during rifle and I’ll bow hunt early season here

Yea it ain’t nothing but a thing but I don’t happen to have a smaller 5 kva transformer. Those are easy to hang in a pinch.

Not sure if it's too far for you but check out Antique Town campground in Cameron (Moore County). It's fairly new, a friend of mine runs it, they may have openings.
