As a NC resident, what requirements are there to purchase a rifle other than current state ID and background check?.....thanks in advance....

With a ccw you dont need to do a NICS check. I just bought a rifle last week during my lunch and was in and out in under 5 minutes.

individual that resides in NC, buying from a dealer, no ccw...

Yep like others said.
Show up, fill out the forms with a NCDL and they will do the background check on you for any long gun.
Hand gun you need Permit of some form.
