Boat trips next weekend

A week is a long time in weather speak!

But nothing we can change......bring it on and we will see where it goes

We are going to attempt again on the 12th, if this doesn't work we are done....2 trips and boat hasn't left the dock yet.

It was supposed to be stormy today but we lucked out on storms - wind was a might rough. If Friday is as bad or worse than it was todY then it could be tough on tender guts

My first time out there and already looking to head back out, bit slower this year from what i was told, but think everyone brought back fish, won't ruin anyones stories but a couple of notable fish caught that day by other boats were a 248# big eye and a 235# big eye.
Sea's were well behaved and with the cloud cover helped with the sun
Both my son and i caught a couple of mahi mahi each to add to the boats tally

We did well for a "slower" day. 4 big eyes and 2 yellow find.

My arms, hands and forearms are STILL sore!! There is NO WAY I think I could have reeled in one of those 200+ pound big eyes!!!! An 85 pounder felt like I was trying to reel in a volkswagen beetle up the banks of Bristol!!!

We had an off day as well with 5 yellow fin but did get a couple of nice gaffer Mahi. It was still a nice day on the blue water.
