Beaver Stew

team muddy creek

I caught a beaver last winter and had it in the freezer, the other night I needed room for some more quail, so I moved it to the fridge. I unthawed it and fixed it like you would a beef stew, it was great with taters, carrots, 1 onion, 3 cloves of garlic, and some winchester sauce. The crew at the fire dept said it tasted like a beef stew.

well done
ignore the peanut gallery
yes, beaver meat, cooked like that, is reminiscent of beef
porcupine does as well,,, fooled a friend of mine in high school that thought the stew was deer meat etc,,,, it was porcupine etc,,,,

(etc = what you'd put in a stew, carrots, potatoes, barley, spices, worchestershire sauce, etc)
