Back when I was a kid we used to drive down their with my uncle to the Farmers Market, buy watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, peaches,etc and bring them back up here for a stand that he ran each summer. I can attest, even back then as a kid, I could tell it was not a very friendly place.

Way back in the day, I had a job that required me to walk every street in downtown Kinston. I was advised by my client (The Town) to be out of certain neighborhoods by noon. Apparently the thugs like to sleep in!
