Back Yard Buck Down

Son got lucky today. He’s a fire fighter and worked last night. Got off 7:30 and got in tree until 12:00. Saw some nice bucks and passed on a shooter that was border line

Told me they ran all night so he was going to bed and not doing afternoon hunt. I texted him 4:15 and said I had bucks all over me and told him he was missing best action I’ve seen.

He got up and walked to stand behind house. Texted me little after 5 and said just got big boy. I Asked which one, he said not sure didn’t have time to glass but I know he’s nice. He was right

Pretty close. Quick rough score was 149 6/8. Taxidermist is going to do an official score on him.

It takes a heck of an 8 pointer from the midwest and Canada to hit 150, but to do it in NC is pretty strong IMO.

I do realize he is a 9 pointer, but barely.
