outdoorNC- I am interested in that pattern on your profile. :)
what distance was the shot and which load produced that pattern?

Hookspur

Oh, that's just great.....yet another danged tick to worry about. I've caught Lyme's disease twice, Erlichyosis once, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever once already. I wish every tick in the world would just die!

if I could kill turkeys the way I avoid ticks it would be great.
I went a bunch last year and got zero ticks.
Grange rubber boots and constant spray down with permethrin on clothes. Spray each sit and never/seldom wash the pants during the season. by year end they die from a distance. :)
I have some knowledge of the use of permethrin to treat clothes in a manufacturing environment and have decided the risk of exposure to it is less than the negatives from the wrong tick attaching to me. OMWV.

So many are worried about snakes but for my 2 cents I'm watching more for them little devils always treat clothes.
