Arkansas gets rid of muzzleloading deer season and replaces it with 'alternative firearms season'

Non-semiautomatic centerfire firearms (including handguns with barrels 4
inches or longer) that fire a straight-wall cartridge .30 caliber or larger and
large bore air rifles (Page 50) are now allowed during alternative firearms

seasons (formerly termed muzzleloader season). Lever-action rifles, single-
shot rifles, pump-action rifles and bolt-action rifles (including semiautomatic

rifles that have been converted to bolt-action) are allowed. Note that
shotguns with slugs are not allowed during alternative firearms season.

For the 24-25 deer seasons in Arkansas

They also legalized spears

Archery equipment that is legal for hunting now includes spears.

How do you convert semi automatic to a bolt action?

I want to say that used to be done to some guns in the United Kingdom when semi autos were banned there and the UK govt then banned practice of converting them.

For AR-15 type systems you disconnect or block the gas system and use the charging handle as a manually operated bolt.

I'm sure the Bowmar idiot is chomping at the bit to be able to film a video of his unethical style in North America again instead of having to go to Africa for everything.

I don't have a problem with the use of a spear but sometimes hunters can't get out of their own way. You want to toss a spear go ahead. But if you are gonna hit an animal in the gut and still have to finish it with a firearm or recover it days later maybe don't put that online for hundreds of thousands of people to watch.

Same as his 100y archery shots. It's not cool and is the opposite of impressive to me. I want to see the guy that has to adjust because the animal is inside 10y not someone lobbing arrows a football field away.
