Twelve Pointer
Story of today’s bull.

He went in and found this bull feeding in the wilderness at daylight.

Quartered against him for about 400 yards and watched him bed.

Got to within 275 and set up prone and waited.

Bull stood about 30 minutes later when the sun got hot on him.

First shot was a dead bull with the 300 win.

He went about 20 yards and he hit him again for good measure and he tipped over.

Twelve Pointer
Our last tag, my dad, has foregone his last hunt days. He’s been waiting all week for a biggun that never got in range.

We tried to convince him to shoot a bull this am and he’s response was, “Good god boys, I think we’ve got enough meat, and I can’t carry out any more quarters.”

We’re eating breakfast now and riding in once the sun gets up to pack out Wednesdays 2nd bull.

Thus, the hunting has come to an end.
Now, we’ve got one more to get out of the woods about 2 miles into the wilderness line and we’re home free.

Gonna debone and pack meat and gear this evening, turn in the bikes, and hit the road for NC tomorrow morning as early as we can stand it.
