Anybody got any ideas on this one?

It’s been in the family forever and nobody knows anything about it. No markings anywhere. I do know that the firing pins need work but appears to be solid other than that.

While at my parents yesterday my pop comes out and say take to your house.... i have no use for it other than to go in the safe but it would be nice to have a little info of what it is other than “rabbit eared 12 gauge”.

here to help,,,,

it's a "rabbit eared double barreled underlever 12 gauge",,,,,,,,,

see,,more info!!

now, more seriously,,,looks to be a damascus barrel?? hard for me to tell with my eyes and the pictures but seems to have the spirals,,,

looks like a Probin to me,,,but could be a copycat,,

I know you already know this but even if you get the firing pins working, under no circumstances should you fire modern ammo in that gun. I've seen what can happen when modern shells are fired in Damascus twist steel barrels and it ain't pretty.

These are the only markings on it. Same markings on receiver under barrels as there is on barrels under the forearm.

And there is no way I would pull the trigger on this thing if it worked.

I learned a lot about proof marks last night up way later than I should have been. Pretty neat history out there. We didn’t even realize it was that old.

Thanks for the help everyone.
