ACC Football

Y’all need Billy Napier recruiting and Dan Mullin play calling đŸ˜‚

But to answer your question……losing is losing…..don’t matter who is on the field
I'll just take Urban Meyer recruiting with Steven Orr Spurrier calling his plays. LOL. Yea that would never work.

Duke is getting the head coach of FAMU for their running back coach.
Hopefully he brings that talent with him. They just won the HBCU championship.

West VA loves their team and travel decent not much else in that state to cheer for it was overwhelmingly them in stands. Then there is fact that there are bout million West VA folks living in NC including all my in laws
NC travels as good as 95 percent of the teams out there. But , when 12 starters sit no one wants to go.
We went to the last Dukes bowl but not this one mainly because w/0 12 starters unc had no chance.
The best choice is not to attend IMHO and get the higher ups thinking on how to solve this pus. Sit out problem.

years ago unc played WVU in Charlotte in a bowl (belk). Sorry weather yet the place was full. Plenty of unc fans there that day.
Think about it- how much should fans care about a bowl game when the players obviously dont care.
And of course there is the Mack fatigue factor. The one thing I see/hear from most unc fans is instant criticism.
Those fans arent going to give much coin in support of the program. easy to stay home and bitch about the coach.
Sure hope the next one can win more than eight games a year. :)

Well.....Ga Tech's coach is coming to join the Mack Brown regime as the defensive coordinator. He has a terrible record as a head coach. You would think that a hall of fame coach could get a better candidate for the job than this but I won’t pass too much judgment until I see how the defense is next year.

Well, he held UNC to 42 points this year.

I like him already. :)

2008 - Meineke Car Care Bowl. I was there, sitting in the back row of the stadium. Hakeem Nicks played really well, IIRC, and UNC nearly won. WVU fans were rowdy and drunk before they got to the stadium. Then, it was a pretty balanced crowd, but I would have to give it to WVU fans 60/40%. My takeaway was that 1) there are a lot of WV fans in NC and 2) WV travels very well and 3) they are a bunch of drunks.

But that was a different time. A time when players cared about bowl games, and it meant something. A time when there was loyalty and pride in a program. This new college football where you can play for multiple different schools, and it's all just a means to get paid one way or the other is an inferior product to watch. With the majority of UNC's best players sitting out, I wouldn't have driven the 40 minutes down to BOA if I had free tickets. They had no chance of winning with the team they put on the field.

I was going to be kind and not mention the drunks. In fact we (my dad and I) had a little interaction with some rowdy wvu fans at the turnstile going in.
Then again he and I were the only sober ones in the crowd that we traveled with: a bus from chapel hill. LOL

I was at an ncaa tournament game one time when huggins was at WV. I was there to see UNC but the WV game just happen to be a part of the ticket so we watched it. Their fans did travel well. They seemed rowdy but not anything extreme. They're just all butt ugly. I'm sure the football crowd is different.
