A Survivor

I checked a camera that I have out in a funnel area today. I don't have any bait there, just a camera in a pretty good spot. This big gobbler passed through 4 days after the season closed. He's a dandy and I hope he makes it till April 2019. Seeing any gobbler is special where I live and hunt. We don't have lots of birds so finding a decent hunt for turkeys is a challenge. 05160007.jpg

Nice. He looks like a good one too. Love cameras without bait in high traffic areas. Need to check mine soon. I found a nice 3 way intersection.

This spot has caught 'possum, raccoon, deer, coyote, gray fox, gray squirrel, cottontail, turkey hen and now gobbler, owl, hawk, great blue heron. Maybe something else I'm not recalling now. All without any bait but in a fine funnel area between 2 more open spots and there is a small wet weather stream there. I'm thinking to make this a permanent camera set- at least for a year to see how things evolve.
