I still have a mental picture in my mind of one of the prettiest sites I have seen...deer hunting from a climber on a SC pine/hardwood firebreak on a very cold morning a Cardinal & Blue Jay landed side by side on a frosty pine bough about 4' away from me & sat there for about 2-3 min. I think they may have been thawing out together.
