A Bird Not Often Seen

Caught a glimpse of this Brown Creeper running up a pine tree and managed to snap a fair photo of him. They're tiny little birds and usually stay in the woods so most people never see them, other than hunters and bird watchers.

You can quickly tell a brown creeper from a nuthatch by the way they move on the trunk of a tree: a nuthatch can move both up & down the trunk, while a brown creeper will start at the base of the tree moving upward, then fly to the base of the next tree and repeat the process. They never go down a tree trunk.
