4-H Shooting Sports Tournament

Who participated this past Saturday and who's shooting this coming Saturday?

Since this is our 1st year participating, Duplin County, my wife, oldest son, and I went to the Central regional tournament to see how things are supposed to work. Tent city was an eye opener.

We will be shooting this Saturday. Hopefully we will represent well. We're wanting the kids to have a good time, learn a few things and hopefully we'll send someone to the State tournament in September, but I'm not betting on it.

If you see the "big" instructor from Duplin County, holler at me.

We took our kids up there for the 1st time Saturday and I think we did pretty well.

2nd for Jr Shotgun Team

3rd & 4th for Jr Recurve Archery

5th Individual Jr Rifle (he's on the shotgun team also)

and the big winner was our female pistol shooter, she brought home 1st in Jr Air Pistol

We had a good time and now we're looking forward to going to the state tournament next month.
