yeah that is exactly what i heard two weeks ago. LOL.

?.. The bait behind my house hasn't even bunched up yet. It's a little behind schedule but nothing really out of the norm.
2 weeks and you'll start seeing more clatter on social media about the bite being on.
It's about like deer hunting, you need to be on their schedule and let it happen rather than trying to make it happen on our schedule. Think of it like your fishing the old drum rut

i went down yesterday and hooked up w/ 2. 1 on the popping cork first thing and then one on cut bait once the wind picked up.

Twelve Pointer
Fished 9/1/19 and caught 6 in 2.5 hours. All over 39 inches. Caught 4 week before but they were all over 43 inches. I’m sure this storm will mess them up and push them out

Nice work on the drum. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I've always heard its not good to hold the big drum vertically. Ive always heard you should cradle them.

It wasn’t directed at you, it was directed at the myth that it kills them..... but feel free to find me on the beach or pier this fall and we can hug it out ?

Im chomping at the bit to get back on the water and fish, storm clean up has me tied down for another day or so.

Little man had one about 30 ish pounds blow up on a spook about an hour before dark this evening. He destroyed it but missed the hooks some how. It was pretty dang cool to see. I did catch a couple of trout while he was sight fishing drum. Water is pretty nasty on outgoing, all the fish were right on the tide seam this evening.

And when the drum don't bite i put a skate on the hook for some of these

Got on them pretty good last night. Lost one in the motor. Didn't have a free hand to grab the rod. :ROFLMAO:

It's pretty good now. I caught 6 last night by myself on cut menhaden. Lost 3 and had a double hookup. Talk about a Chinese fire drill.
