Looks like the harvests continue to decline at South Mountains and Pisgah

418 deer shot in Nantahala, that's pittyful, Nantahala NF is huge, those counties out east that have thousands of deer shot every year, we could fit several of those counties in Nantahala. Probably almost as many bears shot as deer. Do you have that info CRC?

I'm curious how many in those areas are unreported.

I can't believe Nantahala has more than Pisgah. Over the years it seems the further west you go the fewer deer taken. I'm sure there are a fair amount not reported but that end of state has never produced large harvest qty's. Rough country over there.

I can tell you this for sure Southside, we are really close to Ga. most everyone I know hunts in Ga. alot of guys kill Ga deer, bring it across the state line and tag it here for a gamelands kill so they don't use up there Ga tags, in other words they want to tag it somewhere so they can still bragg about it, but still keep killing them in Ga.
