It's an Eagle Head inspectors stamp. Inspected at Springfield Armory. Shipped to Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Maryland in Oct. 1918. Colt "Black Army" 1911.25-06 , is that a flame bomb on that 3rd Colt pic ?
My two vices... Swiss watches and 1911s
My Nighthawks have not been on the same level as my Wilson’s. Aside from Burton’s you cant get better quality for your money than Wilson. Have wanted to add a Springfield Professional but the last 3 I have handled had poor fit and I can’t bring myself to pay 3,500 for a MIMed pistol. My Wilson’s have the best fit and finish possible. My baers don’t look at finished but fitting( hard fit) is amazing and all are 1.5 inch @ 50 yd pistols. Not mine but it doesn't stop me from admiring them.
