Good luck to everyone out today. Set up in a swamp hoping for some wood ducks this morning. Nephew heard a lot whistling yesterday afternoon while deer hunting so hopefully they come in.

Took my buddy out for his first duck hunt today in a little woodie hole. Not tons of birds but we got a few for the freezer

Killed 3 woodies this morning. Not to many flying and flew later than usual. Mr Deer Hunter wasn't happy and wanted to yell we messed his hunt up (didn’t say it that nice) but got quiet while we looked him. We hunted private land so if he wants to hunt by the property line he’ll have to deal with it.

Shot a two man of woodies. Did not see one big duck...very odd - given I usually at least see a handful of resident mallards. It's really like they were gone by the 2nd week of October. Oh well, it's going to be cold this week - looking forward to Saturday! Be safe fellas

Teal, pintail, woodies, mallards and a few ringnecks in a marsh blind on the coast friday. Great day
Saturday shot a limit of woodies and few teal in our pond. Fun 2 days.

Limit Fri afternoon and Sat morning. Gadwall teal and wood ducks.
Later Oct dates were much more enjoyable imo.

Don't know why WRC cut the early east zone season to 2 days? If they are going to keep doing that, they need to issue permits for both days.

Maybe they will do 3 days Coastal next season in which they probably would have two of those as permit days. When you get another survey or get to write in comments, we might want to ask for it.
