Where’s the smoke pole hunters at!?!?

Came down to Raliegh to hunt the next couple days on bunter. I could be tagged out in nc. Seen 2 spikes and could have shot both of them., 2 does and a yearling. Doe and yearling were too far for the mzl. One of the does came in directly behind me down wind of me and smelled me. Didn’t have a shot at her. What a wonder evening to be in the woods. Got to see one of the spikes work a scrape and lick a licking branch.

She will die in due time... Probably tomorrow evening and def. Saturday when the dog hunters get after her.

Can you tell me the regs for butner? I assume they are separate in terms of ML season and gun seasons?

I was out on Harris yesterday. It was one of my shortest hunts. I got down from the tree at 9:30am. It was too windy for me.

Thanks I thought maybe you were referring to around the prison in butner which i thought might have different seasons, but I assume your just talking about the entire butner falls of neuse gamelands. Goodluck!
