I fished a couple of creeks local to me yesterday while we were jump shooting wood ducks from the kayaks. Crappie were busting minnows on top and I couldnt get em to hit squat. I changed tails and heads about 50 times and couldn't buy a bite. I tried em shallow, deep slow, fast, with a float, without a float, with a spinner, without a spinner.
Pick you up some Zoom Tiny Flukes and run them on a light head like a 1/24 oz and with a crappie nibble.Works great when they are feeding on top like that. They have lots of good colors but my favorite is baby bass.

I think that was my problem, my heads were to heavy. lightest thing I had with me was 1/16 and the action was to fast.
Thanks for the tip on the Tiny flukes.
