This is my 4th season hunting with the Albemarle hunting club down in Scotland county. Well today I got my first shot at a nice buck. He was trying to slip out of the hunt way in front of the hounds. Just as he got within 40 plus yrs of me I raised my gun and he saw me and it was game on. I got 2 shots off but i think I just knicked him at least i hope. We only found 2 drops of blood and 3 pieces of white belly hair. He took the dogs maybe 800 yards before they came back. I think he was so far in front of the dogs that the scent was weak by the time the dogs picked it back up after the shot.

Behind number 7 on the D & L. The dogs went back maybe 800 to 900 yards before they came back in the direction between 7 stand and 11 stand.

Andy's stand. I sure hope he gets him back on camera this week or the next.

Friend of mine killed a 198# 7 point week before last right up the road from you on Morgan. That is a big deer for down there.
