Very strange request to the members here. Closed deal 6/16.

I can't disclose the reasons, but I need access to a corn field (ideally between I95 and no further than US17, more specifically between Smithfield-Kinston-Greenville-Wilson would be the most desirable). But the field must be planted in a N-S direction (as closely as possible) and be at least around 500 yards long (N/S) and hopefully at least 100yds wide. Also, the N border should be mature trees oriented E-W. If anyone has access to this situation I would appreciate a PM, there is money involved for the land owner/farmer. Needed ASAP. $1000 finder's fee if I successfully get to use the field.

Thanks,
Johnnie

June 21, Summer Solstice. Highest sun all year. Around solar noon the light will align with those N/S rows. The mature trees on the north, aligned E/W will allow the sun to shine through the slots between them. So I’m guessing it’s a Stonehenge kind of thing. Maybe it’s some sort of secret Druid society with dancing Nymphs. That area between 95 and 17 was settled by Gaelic people so maybe it's a tribute to @Johnnie 's heritage? Would be interesting to know.

I'm digging the speculations, but this is purely work related. Trying to reproduce very specific conditions. $250 finder fee if I successfully get to use the field.

that explains it

police detective trying to replicate the last Summer Solstice to solve a crime,,, was it on Pornhub?

but seriously - we have the cornfields, but can't say that any have all of those requirements - so no-go on this end

I know what Johnnie does for a living and I have supplied him with an item or two that he needed to complete a task or two.

The replies so far have been entertaining for sure but nobody seems to be taking his request seriously. Surely someone either has or knows of a place that has the conditions he is looking for. Lots of cornfields between I95 and 17.

might want to fly around with google and find the field that meets your requirements and start calling owners.
Considered that, but I don't know what is planted in them this year. Unfortunately time is a luxury I don't have. I had this all set up and ready in Farmville, but then someone changed some of the parameters, so I am back to the drawing board.

I should have paid more attention driving down and back to Morehead City, but my route was farther south than you listed,,,,

I'm not in the right location and my trees won't line up E/W even though I have gave them a stern talking too. They threatened to leave if I didn't be nice.............I'll see myself out. But I do have a N/S corn field.........
